Ragnar wants to sign up. He knows the lady ferrets fancy a soldier.

Dreamer sent me this picture of a ferret who is the mascot of the Yorkshire Regiment in the British Army. There are two of them, named Quebec and Imphal (appropriately enough, both big dust off's in that regiment's history).  I'm sure Ragnar wants to join because he knows the truth of the passage in Homer's Odysseus, which says " for the fairer sex is ever to a warrior kind."

The natty uniform doesn't hurt, either!

" A good uniform must work its way with the women, sooner or later"  Charles Dickens, Pickwick Papers.

    1. He would have to renounce his U.S. citizenship. I don't know if that's a problem for him or not. ;-)

    2. Harry - it's gonna be hard for him to renounce his citizenship because he is a true patriot.

wait a sec - there's a hot female ferret involved....

bahahahahah! still love that pic buddy! your friend,
      u no hoo

    3. Well, if he does decide to join a foreign army, I will be sure he doesn't use the same immigration lawyer I used when I tried to get "green cards" for the kids up in Vancouver. The jerk took my $6,000 and never did jack doodley for us. Maybe the British Army is like the Romans, where foreigners could join up and get citizenship after 20 years service. Ragnar needs a girl friend. Jasmine is way too old, she's a granny. Rowena doesn't like Ragnar because he bites her. Maybe joining up is his best chance at finding Miss Right. There are not many other ferrets living in this county so pickings are slim.

    4. Harry, buddy - oh man. you were so screwed over and i am so sad to say that it happened in canada - that makes me sick! if you ever want to try to get the kids to canada legally - let us know - we will contact the right kind of people in order to do that. however, it SHTF - you know what to do.

as for poor Ragnar - it looks like he needs canadian citizenship to be able to marry little-what's-her-name (i love these idiotic little crazy late night conversations buddy!) so he needs to join the canadian peacekeeping forces first...and then i can put in a good word for him through my NATO linguistics office...it's gonna cost some dollars buddy! i promise to only charge standing price k? oh ya - and a marlin ..336y.....buddy, i am getting weak in my older years and being that i am only 5'1 wit my hair done...and weigh only 110lbs...i really needs a kids weapon...you comprende??? bahahahah!

lots of love buddy, always to you and yours, your friend,
      kymber

    5. Kymber, you need an M1 Carbine. It is perfect for a small woman. There have to be gazillions of them up there because we shipped tons to the Canadians during WW2.

I just found out my daughter still has a storage locker in Vancouver with some of her most prized possessions in it, like her japanese kimonos, etc. She pays forty a month for it. I kept the big storage locker there for two years, paying $250 a month for that (Canadian) but I finally told her that she was never going to get all that stuff, so she got a Japanese friend of hers to give everything away except the things she couldn't part with. I thought the whole batch was gone until they were down here in october and she let slip she still had the little locker. I told her that was crazy, as she's never going to be all the way out in British Columbia again. But it's her business I guess.

Yeah, if he wants a ferret wife Ragnar will have to go far afield. Although I might go adopt another ferret or two that needs a home, and then I could find a girl friend for him. I've lost two of my ferrets in the last few years and there's always room for somebody else. There's a ferret rescue in the state capitol I should check with.

You really are tiny, aren't you? J better take good care of you, a coyote could run off with you if he isn't careful, or a good sized hawk!

    6. Harry - we've been thinking about getting an M1...we've got our eyes peeled for one as does the Mi'kmaq gun dealer on the reserve near our city. i'd still love that marlin tho - bahahah!

i really wish that BC wasn't 6,000miles across the country as we would gladly go and get your daughter's things and store them for free or ship them to her. i really am sorry about the mess from that shady lawyer.

as for little Ragnar - ya, he needs a girlfriend and you need a couple of new ferrets to take care of. go get a few more and let us know when you do.

yep, i'm pretty tiny but very much like a ferret - tiny but vicious when i need to be. J laughed at a coyote or hawk taking me off - there'd be fur and feathers flying everywhere and i'd sure feel badly about belting a coyote or hawk in the face with my fist - bahahahahaha!

enjoy the week with your wife. i hope that she is feeling better now. much love to you and yours, Harry! your friend,
      kymber

    7. Kymber, there's not much any of us can do about all that stuff she has out there. She's just going to have to realize that there isn't any way to retrieve it and she is wasting her money. She needs to let her Japanese friend give it away before she goes back to Japan, or my daughter is really going to be stuck.

  2. Yeah, those two are lucky ferrets. At least they won't ever be abandoned like so many of them are. I like his little coat. Beats the things people usually dress their ferrets up in, like clown suits

  3. I had a friend that had ferrets in college.

    1. Alissa, they are the best pets ever. They're clean, smart, and really funny. They're no trouble to keep in the house. Each one has a distinct character. The only problem is you get so fond of them that when one of them dies it is really hard. They only live six years on average, though some of mine have lived considerably longer.
