I couldn't think of a thing. I actually lost ground because my security camera system went down for the final count. I knew I must have done something positive. But all I can come up with is this:
I did get 200 rounds of .45 ACP. First I got two boxes of 50 rounds, and then today
I got one box of 100 rounds, bulk packed. There was a big sign that said customers were limited to two boxes of ammo per day. I told the clerk I wanted two of these bulk packed 100 rounds. He said I could only have 100 rounds, period. The guy was from the auto department. He was the only one I could find to get the keys to the ammo locker that early, the others all blew me off by saying the Dilbert with the keys didn't come in til 7.00. But this fellow was nice enough to go get the keys so I just shut up and took what I could get.
So, in the last 10 days I've been able to get about 200 rounds of .45 ACP all told. One of my carry guns is a Kimber Custom II.
Now that colder weather is here, I'll be going back to wearing a vest , so I can go with a Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig and carry a bigger pistol. The Kimber will feed just about anything, but I use commercial loads for actual carry. I shoot my own reloads for practice.
That's pretty much all I can say I've done, so I suppose I haven't much to crow about. There is a big preparedness expo in one of the cities in a neighboring state towards the end of October. We are planning on going down there and staying Friday and Saturday to see it. As long as it isn't too cold, that is, because we can't leave the house unheated in below freezing weather and I don't fancy driving off and leaving propane heaters on.
