I don't usually just post a link, but this is like something out of a bad science fiction movie.

Risk of contagion from illegals in government facilities.

Link to Fox News story above:

I was going to post some pictures but when I ran illegal immigrants disease it was too horrific.

I've been reading about the issue of people bringing diseases into the country from Mexico, Central and South America since before I had my old blog, which I suppose would have been five years or so ago all told.  You can find plenty of medical articles on line, from reputable sources, that illuminate this problem. It's very rare to find a main stream media outlet talking about it though, even Fox.

These folks sneak into the country, from places where vaccinations are largely unknown. They carry some pretty nasty diseases. Tuberculosis, for instance, had largely been eradicated in this country but now it's back, as well as some exotic diseases that didn't exist here prior to the waves of illegal immigration that started in the 1960's.

It's something to think about, along with all the other issues that worry a person, and which seem to be beyond solving at the level of the average citizen.

  1. Another similarity between what is actually happening and what was written about in "The Camp of the Saints".

It doesn't stop with disease either. Bedbugs were pretty much totally eradicated in the US but have now come back with a vengeance due to third world immigration as well. Helpfully spread by constant public housing jumpers. Most people don't realize that all these little housing departments across the country will advertise for new "tenants". Like say Midcity, Alabama will advertise opening in their housing developments in papers all across the country to get more section 8 residence.

It all helps spread these maladies.

    1. Life imitates art. There are all kinds of movies about contagions spreading , usually the plot involves someone coming into the country from some third world place and bringing a bug. This article highlights the exposure the average individual gets from illegal immigrants, something most people never give a thought to. The bed bug problem has reached such proportions in the U.S. that my wife and I are not comfortable staying in hotels anymore. Public housing has had an issue with lice, etc for a long time but now people are getting things that no one has even heard of, like "Chakra disease."

  2. Hey Harry,

    (captaincrunch)

I have not seen anything weird in the way of disease in South Texas just yet. I heard its mostly contained to immigration concentration camps (detention centers)

This is only going to get much, much worse.

    1. Yep, its in the news here as well - a link from ABC station KRGV newstories concerning illegal alien news articles. Scabies, chicken pox, turberculosis and no one is mentioning Chiagas Disease, a blood infection that really should scare people who receive blood transfusions. This requires donations from the person though.

I don't blame the illegal population directly, its not their fault that their countries cannot afford or provide vaccinations against these diseases. Also doesn't matter - the germ is still being brought over and our population is threatened with outbreaks of diseases.

Does give pause for thought though - if Americans are vaccinated, shouldn't infection be prevented ? I guess this is a test against how well these vaccinations really work.

    3. CC, there are several exotic diseases in Texas that arrived in the last ten years or so. I will try to find those old articles or something like them and put them on the interesting news link. I've started retaining the links to articles I reference or which I think worth reading.

  3. Same thing has been happening here too Harry, thanks to all of the boat loads of illegal immigrants the previous socialist government let in. We have been seeing all sorts of 19th century diseases making a comeback here, whooping cough, Diptheria, and of course TB. Thank God we had a change of government, since Tony Abbott became PM last November not ONE boat has been able to sneak in from Indonesia, in the same period when the socialist party was in power they let in over 190 boats!

    1. If we can't get Putin to come to America and clean things up, would Tony Abbot consider taking the job? I wonder how come other countries can find leaders who lead, and we get nothing but mealy mouthed gutless wonders.

Whooping cough, measles, TB and chicken pox have all been manifesting themselves here, though we had that stuff pretty well under control until millions who were not vaccinated and or did not follow basic health procedures materialized here.

Thank goodness it's not airborne as in Tom Clancy's novel "Executive Orders"

    2. Or is it airborne? For that rapid a spread of the disease, perhaps it is...

    3. Dani, they have been reporting on the Ebola outbreak on our news here. My wife, who spent many years in Africa as a youngster, says that it particularly nasty stuff. I hope it does't make it down your way. But if it does, you will be safe if you stay out on your place and don't have visitors. My wife says ebola doesn't spread through the air. Part of our disease problem isn't related to illegal immigrants. It's the fact that our summers are getting wetter , hotter and longer and weird diseases that could not survive here are able to do so now.

    4. I normally don't post links because in general people tend not to read them. I link them on the side panel for people who are interested in a topic but not in an actual post. Some things though, need to have attention called to them and this seems to me to be one of those things.
