  1. I had forgotten how wonderful that sound is. I may have to play that video a few more times before the day is done. Thank you.

    1. The beach is a tranquil place, especially just as the sun comes up, and sunset. Does a person good.

  2. Harry,

I wish I was there, beautiful. The video was so relaxing. I miss living close to a beach. Are you visiting the beach?

  3. Hey Harry,

    (captaincrunch)

    what no surf????

too flat for a surfrider such as myself.

There is a full moon tonight with whispy clouds on the horizon and I thought about going out to the beach tonight, but there are too many fisherman, drunks, drunk fisherman and nut jobs howling at the moon and mating on the beach (an orgy of idiots)
its enough to make any ancient Roman or Greek blush. I'm sure in nine months the end result will be spat fourth into the world to receive WIC and EBT cards.

I think I will wait until there is no moon in the middle of the week and fewer tourists worshipping sea turtles to go out to the beach at night.

I cant wait for school to begin and the tourist season to slow down. Nothing like a desolate beach in the middle of the night. Finally myself and the Coyotes will get a break.

    1. Early morning before dawn is a good time to go. Usually nobody out there then. Tybee is best in winter, nobody on the whole island.

  4. I have not been there, but have considered running the marathon some day. I have heard all good things.

    1. I bet you do seeing that you lived down that way. It's the easiest beach to get to form here.

  6. When we lived in ATL, we used to go to Tybee a few times in the summer.
It's still one of my favorite places. It was even on the short list of our retirement plans, but the home prices are just too high. Nice part is that it is not over run with people most of the time. Looks like Middle Tn. will have to do for the duration!

    1. We thought about the beach when I left the service but the inevitability of hurricanes made it a shakey choice for a main residence. I wouldn't mind having a beach house though. I need to win the lottery first though.

  7. My computer is so slow that I'll have to watch it later on the tablet. The initial photo looks so nice.

  8. Actually it's a very powerful sound! And I love the gulls and bird sounds in the background.

    1. There's no place like the beach. I enjoy the mountains, but the beach at morning and in the evening is hard to beat. Especially if you go to one that isn't high traffic.
