Remember the supercilious liberal elitists we were talking about? MSNBC "news"

  1. They were actual "journalists"? (shocked face) :^0

  2. With the exception of Fox News, this is what you get that passes for television journalism these days. And even Fox has that whiny , mincing little pimp Shepard Smith.

  3. Faux news? It's no better than the rest, just a different bias.

There's a reason that even though I have a Journalism degree I don't work for main stream "news." It's all about entertainment and selling ads. Real reporting is not allowed. I've classmates who were fired for digging too deeply and actually trying to report news.

    1. I like Fox News. It carries stories related to subjects that interest me, which none of the others do. I also appreciate a more conservative shade to the news stories, although one conservative channel can't counterbalance 6 others that are no more than propaganda organs for the Democratic Party.

The news once was actually the news. Now it's just another way to "get out the word" for the liberals, for the most part, and woe betide those who don't get with the program.

  4. Yup....being a liberal is a mental illness. Not appropriate? Tough, Charlie Brown

    1. One of the things that caught my eye about this segment was the gross condescension these people displayed. The same kind of people who make jokes about waiting the flush the toilet in the airliner until they are over a "red" state.

  5. Just in case I was in danger of forgetting why my TV isn't plugged in, thanks for the reminder. News? I don't think so.

    1. Even Al Jazeera is better than MSNBC, and the boys in Qatar are always hammering the U.S. left and right. But MSNBC is oily, and reeks of slime.

  6. What do you expect from the white house publicity machine? They stopped teaching integrity and impartiality at journalism school a long time ago and the average idiot on the street can no longer tell the difference anyhow. Thankfully the audience on these alphabet soup news channels has plummeted drastically lately as most of their target audience would rather watch even more stupid programing. Sadly all too many still gobble up this sewage that they try to foist on us as journalism. Waters World on Fox tells you all you need to know about the situational awareness of your average liberal.

    1. Ever so often something so egregious comes across the television screen that I want to make sure people didn't miss it. There's no argument in support of the Main Stream Media I can think of, except in the case of Fox which is widely hated by liberals and not perfect itself.

  7. Hey Harry,

    (captaincrunch)

I try not to listen or view much of this garbage. All it does is irritate me so I ignore it.
History has shown the path to the future, a future of failure, decline, decadence and corruption. We are living in the final days of what was once the greatest empire (country) the world has ever seen.
We had the greatest technical achievements since ancient Egypt. The greatest teachers since ancient Greece and the greatest military achievements since ancient Rome.
Now we are destined for the history books of the future as an empire that collapsed onto itself once it got rotten on the inside.

    1. Well, at least I'm old and got to live most of my life before the decline set in. LBJ, Carter, Clinton and Obama were more than the nation could stand, even if you don't throw in Feinstein, Boxer, Schumer, Ted the Red,who is thankfully dead, and others.

  8. Hey Harry,

    (captaincrunch)

I'm jumping off the subject for a bit.

the weather down here is starting to warm up finally. It will take awhile for the water temp to come up though. Soon, I will start making some drives to the beach and start checking things out before the tourist, garbage starts showing up in June when all the street urchin's get out school for summer.

I know some somewhat 'isolated spots' that I can hang out at and be a misanthrope and not interact with anyone.

    Beach people I really hate!

    1. fat women that wear lots of deodorant and sun tan lotion and never get in the water to rinse the smell off (I can smell one from 50 yards away if the wind is right)

    2. Gang members, urban hood rats with loud car stereo's (usually they can be avoided by going early in the morning up until almost mid-day) most of them are still in bed after drinking and doing drugs until the wee hours in the morning.

    3. Party crowd, sheeple, hipster types, most of them can also be avoided by going early in the morning (same as gang members)

    4. Jimmy Buffet wannabe's that live on the beach for weeks (or months) at a time. We get some real winners here. I've seen people who will live on the beach in tents, vans, rv's, and any manner (or any condition) most of thease types are younger and don't really care about life (and any responsibility) all they live for is drinking beer, fish for food, bum food, smoke dope, etc. They live in old vans, old school buses and the beach starts to look like a run down RV park after while with rubbish and beer cans everywhere.
Early in the morning they clowns are also still asleep.

I will write more about this later.

    1. You need to add a category five, CC. "And all others in general, exceptions made on an individual basis." That's how I do it.

  9. Hey Harry,

    (captaincrunch)

I wanted to finish up my 'Misanthropic Beach Guide"

Back to the 'Jimmy Buffet wannabe crowd'

Some of them are cool. I remember now talking to a few here and there that were not boozers or dopers and cleaned up after themselves (and their campsites) I guess its the piles of empty beer cans that get me. When I have to walk around empty beer cans, somethings wrong.

Another group of Beach goers that really irk's me are the Mexicans.
Now there's a real winner there. Nothing like having your beach taken over by La Raza with the music, young mothers, dirty diapers, young urchin's running around unattended. The dads are all sporting their tattoo's and $2000 rims and tires on a $1000 car with super loud car stereo's.

I watched gang members steal stuff of a fishing pier once and I also seen fights on the beach with thease bozo's.

Last group in the 'Misanthropic beach guide'

High dollar, big city yuppies that think they own everything in sight. The ones that drive $80.000 dollar cars to the beach with yapping on cell phones. I have observed thease yuppies sit in the car with the air conditioning going and staring at the water and not venturing outside in the summer heat (that ain't so bad next to the water)

One group I have to give credit too and probably the best behaved group are the senior citizens.
They generally don't stay up late smoking dope, using meth and drinking beer. The beach going senior for the most part is laid back and not looking for trouble. The beach going senior also tends to be more polite and drives better than every other group I mention before.

I live near many beaches and I really ask for is for other people to respect the locals. Don't trash the beaches and drive like maniacs on the beach (its legal to drive on beaches in Texas)

A little common courtesy goes along way.

    1. There needs to be a beach somewhere that isn't crowded. Maybe somewhere in the Pacific, where there are so many islands. If I had been Tom Hanks in Castaway I'd never have left there.
