I will be off the internet for a while.  I feel like I was getting repetitive and off task.  A short interlude may give me a chance to look at improving the content and help me design a more relevant format for what to include here. I anticipate being back just after the 4th of July weekend. I've enabled comments and would appreciate constructive suggestions.

  1. hi. miss you. hope you are relaxing and enjoying your wife's summer vacation.

like your site the way it is,always interesting.

    1. Thanks Deb. Based on the last two years, I think I need to make an effort to stay on topic. I've wandered a bit.

  2. I am a longer time reader than commenter..I also like it like it is... But it is your blog of course. Sometimes it is the digressions that spark a new line of thought for me, so that is not necessarily a bad thing. Same with the comments. I have been accumulating a lot of books on structure building, some of them older. I am always looking for tool usage and care. For instance, knife sharpening is a chore for me... I must be doing it wrong or something. I also accumulate hand tools, axes, adzes,, braces and bits, (At least I can use a brace...) Power tools are no biggie plus I am a mechanic, so hand tools are OK... but what about when the power goes out?
Sorry for the ramble, I am at work, so my thinking is split...

    1. Jesse, the things you mentioned are the type of subjects I am leaning towards concentrating on. I believe in the long run that practical issues will be of more value than philosophical ones.
