Gun Free Zones

No need for me to go over events in Chattanooga.  About 90 miles from my house, as the crow flies.

The Armed Forces only send very experienced service members to recruiting or to operations centers for the reserves. So it's likely that some of these Marines, if not all of them, made it through multiple tours in Sand Land. Now they get killed in Chattanooga.

Federal facilities are gun free zones.  People who can operate tanks, artillery, machine guns, and assault rifles overseas can't carry their own personal weapons to protect themselves in these facilities at home.

Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, said to be a Kuwaiti,  who attacked the recruiting station and the reserve operations center knew this. He knew everybody was unarmed in those buildings. Easy pickings for him. Wouldn't have been hard for this to get off the ground in Chattanooga. There are so many Moslems there, that when NPR plays it's theme, it's been modified to Islamic instruments and melody. That's because a Moslem organization pays the bills for NPR in Chattanooga, via contributions. The NPR station there brags about this constantly.

It does not appear that the fact the law says you can't bring a firearm into such facilities weighed heavily with the attacker. But it kept those people inside from having a means of defense. The people in government who implemented these gun free zones are just as culpable for today's events as the terrorist who did the shooting.

The feds knew there were going to be attacks on police and military installations at the end of Ramadan. I saw two interviews on the news myself emphasizing this, more than a week ago. That explains how the FBI got hundreds of agents down to Tennessee within hours of the shooting. But no alert levels raised. No attempt to increase protection for potential targets. No action.

Now the news is saying that ISIS "tweeted" the attack 15 minutes before the first attack. If that's true, it's going to be very hard for Obama to blow this off as "just normal crime", as he did on the first two beheadings a year ago.

It's going to get a lot worse, and soon. There are too many schools, hospitals, shopping malls, airline terminals and the like that are completely open to attack, low hanging fruit. ISIS has thousands of adherents here. ISIS tells them, "you don't need to go to Syria. We don't want you to come to Syria. We want you to kill in your homeland." ISIS can send it's agents into the country on a regular visa, since the federal government routinely issues travel visas to citizens of middle eastern states.

It's racist to be proactive, of course, so the government will continue to let these things happen. The government will continue to import Moslems , who will establish enclaves like those in Minnesota which are breeding grounds for extremist Moslems. ISIS isn't going to just sit over there and take the pounding from the air.  They're going to orchestrate payback. They're good at it, and they like killing women and children because that demoralizes Westerners. They don't crucify little kids for "failing to fast adequately" during Ramadan because they care about that. They know how the pictures impact Westerners. You won't even see them on MSM here. Al Jazeera showed the photos when they first came out, then pulled them because of all the hair pulling and breast beating. That doesn't change the fact that they play for keeps.

From the May 3, 2012 edition of the New York Daily News:

"A new survey reveals the dramatically changing face of religion in America, with the number of Muslims in the U.S. soaring 67% in the decade since the 9/11 attacks.
Data released Tuesday from the 2010 U.S. Religion Census shows Islam was the fastest growing religion in America in the last 10 years, with 2.6 million living in the U.S. today, up from 1 million in 2000."

If just one percent respond to ISIS propaganda that gives ISIS an operating force of 26,000 in the continental U.S.

    1. Kymber, there's really nothing new to say about it. This will keep happening, over and over again. There are people sitting in this country, right now, who are saying "oh, we must not harass Moslems by subjecting them to any more scrutiny than anyone else." Some time down the road, those same people are going to lose family to Islamic terrorism. Then they'll change their tunes, but the others, who aren't yet touched, will keep bleating "multiculturalism" and "tolerance" in unison. Nothing is going to change that.

  2. This is the reason I bought a new rifle that now lives in the trunk of the car. I believe it is the responsibility of every patriot to be armed as heavily as possible as often as possible to combat the future attacks that are sure to come.

    1. I agree with that philosophy. There will be more, and they will be worse. The government will continue to do nothing but mouth platitudes. Did you notice Obama never mentioned the words Islam or terrorist in his little speech this afternoon? What protection anyone has will be what they provide themselves.

    1. In today's America you have to press one for English, deb. It would be racist and noninclusive to imply that the U.S. had a national language.

  4. Harry, I don't know if you realize it or not, but there's an email address at the top of the page under the banner pic. It just looks out of place and has a name... not your normal header.

    1. Yes. I'm about to close the email account that I have been using with this blog because I'm spending more time blocking hate mail than I am responding to legitimate contacts. When I went back to comment moderation the meter pegged out on the email account. I plan on using an account until too many "bad guys" start clogging it up, then cancelling it and starting over. Only takes a few minutes to set up a new account.

    1. Closer and closer, too.

All that yesterday was within a few miles of Hamilton Place Mall, one of the biggest malls in eastern Tennessee. It has a few mall cops, unarmed. If the shooter wanted to make a big splash, he could easily have shot that place up. But ISIS is telling people to go after military and police, and their families.

  6. Hey Harry,

    (captaincrunch)

When I heard the news of the attack in Chattanooga. I was not surprised.

I kind of took it as 'yeah well whatever'

Its not that I don't care. I am just numb. Nothing I can do. Nobody gives in D.C. gives a shit either. We are expendable.

They have a plan of bringing in as many moslims (and Mexicans) as they can to break down our cultural and social order.

I wish I could live a thousand years. Not because of earthly pleasures but I would like to live life as scholar and record and observe the events of the future. I believe I would witness the fall of our country. I believe that there will be many large muslim enclaves, a civil war. Wars over dwindling resources between states and city states such as a United Northeast Coast Coalition comprised of one giant city state from New York through D.C.

    1. My reaction to events was different than yours, but no more effective. There is a lot that could be done, if the people ruling the country had the will to do it. But they are safe, at least for now, so this kind of thing has no immediate impact on them, there's no sense of emergency.

Your analysis of where this will lead is in good company.

  7. Terrible incident.
Harry - are you aware of those starting to use the term Daesh for ISIS?
It is reported that these murderers find this moniker insulting - which is one of many reasons to utilize it...

    1. Marty, I hadn't heard that. I wonder what it means. Maybe it's something you can't use "on the air" as Al Jazeera has not used it and they are no friends of ISIS, being controlled , funded and fronted by the United Arab Emirates.

    1. It's just too much. Get through deployments to the heart of Islam, come home and get killed in Chattanooga.

  9. The government obviously wants this to happen or they would be doing something to stop it. Disruption is good. Race riots are good. They can use it to their advantage. And all the people who think that being nice and politically correct (unless it offends them) are just following along. Break out the oysters.

    1. Kathy, that' a succinct and accurate statement. I wish I had said it. You've pretty much summed up why things are going so wrong, so quickly.
