Hey Harry,(captaincrunch)I watched the video. I will try to adjust the front sight which I think is the problem.I may order an adjustable front sight and keep the original front sight so I can swap them out at a later date.Thanks for posting the video.
CC, I hope this does help. Within limits, adjusting the sights can solve a problem like you are having. But if there is some flaw with the rifle, it may require a good gunsmith to fix it. Given the relatively low cost of a Mosin, I'd say if adjusting the sights doesn't fix it, sell that one to someone who is only interested in a rifle for close in (within 100 yds) protection and buy another one. The one you have should be ok for hitting a man sized target fairly close up.
