My choice for non lethal termination of attacks by Morlochs

Paint ball guns of weapons quality are not cheap. You can spend as much on one as a new first line semiautomatic pistol costs. The large caliber guns I need to fire the mace balls are the most expensive of all. I have decided, based on reviews, the status of the company as a major player in the field, and the features of the gun that this is what I am going with.

I am buying the OD gun in a kit with three magazines, and extra gear like a holster. I expect it to run about 500 bucks after tax, S and H, and a good supply of mace balls.

Next time, things will be different.

  1. Hey Harry,

I gotta check that paintball set out.

I just watched an hour long video on youtube on the M1A by the gun reviewer Nutnfancy.
I was considering selling my M1A at some point, but I am pulling it out of the cobwebs and may take it out to the range soon and get reacquainted with it.

I did discover my Smith Enterprises muzzle break was loose. Now I gotta tighten it up. I thought that red lock tight would hold.

    1. The M1 Springfield is a nice gun although I'd have named it something else because the Garand is also named that and it causes confusion. I have one NIB that I bought many years ago. The box said "not for sale in California" and that took my fancy. I have a Norinco M14S that I have put hundreds of rounds down range with, and fired in an NRA high power match. It's a sweet shooting rifle.

It took some doing and watching a former Marine's M1A video but I got the set screw tightend and the castle nut tightend on rifle. I installed it years ago and forgot how to tightend the darn thing, had to watch a video. As I was going through a bin a M1A parts and I found the manual after the fact 'Duh"
I was looking at the Archangel precision stock for the M1A. Maybe next month I may look closer at purchasing the stock. I just have the plain plastic stock on it now. I am hearing all kinds of good reviews on that Archangel stock.

      'Not for sale in California"

just about everything I own is not for sale in California. Hell' if I walked naked onto the state line from Arizona into California, they would say my mind is a dangerous weapon that's not for sale in California and refuse me entry.
I think I will stay in the South where I belong.

    3. I didn't leave anything in California that I need to go back for. It's a strange, Alice in Wonderland place.

  2. I think this is a solid option to have in your tool box.

For my mental list of things to buy I have added some non lethal stuff.
    -couple cans of bear mace
    -half dozen CS grenades.
-also 4x 25rd boxes of rubber buckshot.

    1. I've got some rubber buckshot and some bean bag shot. Can you really buy CS grenades. I have some smoke but that's it.

  3. Locktite softens with heat. Most of the gun supply people sell high heat locktite, that might be more suitable.
Harry, I don't know you, but I like coming here and seeing what you write. I have a word of caution. I like the idea of "less lethal" weapons, BUT, when you pull that pistol out, the goblins are going to think, "He's got a gun".... Be prepared for that eventuality. I am sure a lot of them are armed. Probably with stolen crap guns, but a lucky shot could get you just the same. Just be prepared for right quick escalation. And watch your back for buddies. OTOH, you might carry a supply of undies you can pass to the unfortunate...

    1. Ryan made the same point. My thought is that if I see evidence of a gun I'm not messing with mace. But if I can light them up and then disengage, that's the ticket. I really think if I have to use this and a morloch has a gun, they'll use it even if I have a florescent orange paint ball gun. My plan is to give them something to think about so I can exit the area expeditiously.

I try to be situationaly aware and avoid potential trouble but as I learned last Friday, sometimes it's beyond my control.

  4. Mine is kind of like the FAL's I have. Got a wild hair and never really did much (anything, actually) with it but I like having it.

  5. Whew that is not cheap! Hope you are happy with it though.

    1. I will only really be happy with it if I go to Chattanooga and find the same four guys so I can test it out. But that won't happen so I will just have to enjoy owning it. I'm enchanted with a nicely made gun that I can use and not kill whatever I'm shooting at. The possibilities are limitless. ;-)
