Down the Rabbit Hole.
“There is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stop the story.”
― Frank Herbert
Hey Harry,(captaincrunch)Funny......Kymber's gonna have a field day on this one.Im feeling a little better now. Im keeping my temperature elevated so I can cook the virus out of my system.I still don't feel much like typing. If I meet a woman that's worth keeping it will be because of pure coincidence and luck.In the meantime Im during alright (except for this miserable cold)One thing comes to mind. Thanks to smartphones there are all kinds of dating apps that are 'questionable' They are more 'hookup' or one night stand dating sites.I saw a show on vice news on youtube called 'The mobile love industry' (something I would rather not be a part of) The stuff that's going on now is a little too wild for me. Sites like Tinder and others have exploded in popularity just to exploit the one night stand trend.
I know a good woman up here that needs a husband. She has a house, a good job (she's a nurse) and a nice two year old Jeep 4 door Wrangler, hard top and all. You interested? She's 57 but built like a battleship. If I wasn't married I'd damn sure be courting her. She has a couple of nice Smith & Wessons, too. What else could you want in a woman?
that advert sounds more sensible than the usual way of mate selection.i don't think cc could live without the ocean.is there any surfing on that lake up there?
He's thinking about moving to West Texas anyway though. No, not even really any sailing. I had a small sail boat when I came here but I gave it to my brother in law because you could only sail at the wide end of the lake but you had to put in at the narrow end.
Harry, You would no doubt have a giant heart attack and be gone in an hour you sound like my husband it's all in your head both of you. You know what you've got, not what you might get. Have a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Mallardhen, I'm beating the bushes for a wife for Captain Crunch, already got one of my own. I hope your Thanksgiving is quiet and peaceful. That's what I am looking for here, a day with nothing to have to take care of.
Hey Harry,(captaincrunch)I'ts 12:30 am finally starting to feel better.with respect Harry I really appreciate you telling me about the Nurse lady, but I would rather just meet a woman in person and go from there. I am so used to living alone that in all honesty I am not so sure that I could even get into a realasonship at this point in my life.Everyone makes a big deal about the holidays and about people being alone. I have books to read, things to work on and a truck to do some maintenance too. I have lots of friends and some decent neighbors that I can go out and talk too. 'Hell if I get really bored, I will invite some Jehovnah's Witness's over and they can try and convert me and I will try to convert them.
"but I would rather just meet a woman" How's that been working out for you, Kemosabee? The trouble is, unless you have a pot full of cash, the older you get the less marketable you are. Having Jehovah Witnesses over is not my idea of a good time. I think the Holidays do bum out a lot of people who are single. Not least because I spent a lot of time on the phone yesterday with a friend who is really depressed because it's the holidays, she has no family at all, and they put her on the work schedule at her job just because they figured since she had no family she should be the one to work so everybody else could stay home.Actually I'm just kidding about finding you a wife but if you want one you better raise the priority. If you don't, that's ok but it will suck when you get older and have no family. That's a nightmare.
Harry, the Matchmaker :)
Yeah, I'm still calculating my fee scale. It will be hefty. ;-)
Very sweet Harry, There's a lot to be said for having someone to share our joys and our burdens. Don't get me wrong there are lots of people happy to be single and lots of men think women are a hassle, but some of us are also plenty of fun and help!
Everybody needs somebody. In this country now, it takes two working to have any hope of a decent life for the most part. When I was a kid women didn't work as a rule. They stayed home and kept the kids and did the horrendous work of keeping a family and household together. No going home from the office and relaxing the last part of the day for them.I love women. I have often thought I should have become a Mormon so I could have lots of wives! The one I have is pretty good though. Our 34th anniversary is a week from today.
