Cold, Windy and Dry.

The wind outside today has been bringing down all sorts of things out of the trees. Branches, dead limbs, and most of the remaining leaves.  It's been awhile since I've been down the mountain but I will have to go down and check the mailbox before much longer.

This is just a short post, I have some things that people sent me I wanted to post. Haven't been doing much so there isn't a lot to tell.

This video is depressing. When we were stationed in Europe, 1982-1984, my wife and I went to Paris frequently. It was a beautiful city, and despite what people say the French always treated us very kindly. Maybe because my wife speaks fluent French.  Whatever the cause, we sure enjoyed it. The French Military Museum and Napoleon's Tomb are there and I never got tired of visiting.

I got this video when I fired up the computer. If Hillary gets elected, then this is what the streets of our major cities will look like . I can't really believe the French tolerate this.

No thought for the day, but here are some good cartoons.  I will be back with the blog pretty shortly, I know it hasn't been up to par for a while, but things have been a bit hectic.  All settled down now though.

Hillary advocates unlimited immigration. This is what she's going to do to us once she gets elected.

  3. Hey Harry,

    (captaincrunch)

    its been an interesting week.

The showdown between obbama and Putin reminds me of "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly'

Putin being the good, clint eastwood type. obbama being the bad and hillery being 'the ugly'

Too bad Europe is imploding. Where do all the Africans use the bathroom in that open air slum in the video?

    I bet it is horrific.

    1. Africans who made this trip to Europe tend to be from the bottom rung of the ladder in their own countries. They live in shacks, and use the space between shacks to relieve themselves. I am sure they have no problem doing so in the streets of Paris.

Putin seems to be ignoring Obama, which is what most of us try to do. I think Putin is waiting to see if we get somebody in office he can deal with (Trump) or another corrupt wimp (Hillary).

  4. Glad to see you back. Hope the doctors were not to rough on you and the medical co-pays aren't too outrageous. Looks like I'll be having some of those in the near future as well.

    1. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but if you have to go into the hospital, don't leave room for the medicos to lighten you any more than you can. They will try to farm out part of your care to doctors who are not in network, or who do not take your insurance. I gave the hospital a notarized letter saying I would not be responsible for any costs incurred with any entity they had not previously approved with me, and when I had to sign the form (the woman at the desk was annoyed I read them all and didn't just sign) I scratched out the paragraph that said I would be personally responsible for all the costs, and put a label over it saying I would be personally responsible for all the costs not paid for by my insurance, excluding those originated with any entity that I had not personally approved. I've been down that road with the shysters before so I know the drill. The best example that comes to mind is X rays. You get them at the hospital, but then the hospital sends them to a radiologist who "interprets" them, and that's a separate bill from that guy. Then the lab work, then this, then that, and you wind up getting 8 different bills for one procedure, and no one has checked to see if they are in network! I do all my own checking, and if they use somebody they didn't tell me about, then they don't get paid unless the insurance does it.

I hate hospitals and I only go when I really don't have a choice. I hope your experience is a good one, and it's nothing serious.

  5. Hope your recovery is going well. It's never pleasant.

I don't understand the Europeans in the video. Welcoming these men with balloons and free kisses? It's insane.

If elected, Billary will welcome them to the white house where they should all feel right at home with our ex rapist-in-chief. --Troy

    1. Troy, they have their leftards too. If the stinking hordes of the great unwashed were coming here, you can bet the Dems would be down there with signs and balloons too. But you get what you ask for. I think other than the complete idiots that every society has, very few Europeans are overjoyed with what their leaders have done to them.

The election looks bad. Trump can't over come the Democratic Party establishment, the Republican Party establishment, the entire weight of the main stream media, and the huge voting blocks of minorities the dems have in key states. Only a real miracle can save us now, and I don't see one in the wings at this point.

Clinton has already said she will expand importation of "Syrian" refugees by 200% her first year in office. The government plants them in Red states to dilute the voter pool.

  6. I think some of our streets already look like in some key places. :(

I'm scared for my kid's future.

I'm noticing a trend. Really smart people are waiting to have kids. They don't want to bring kids into the world as it stands + they want to travel. The ones that are having kids are often not married + are still in that party mode. This is a generalization, but true in many cases. Scary!

    1. As am I, Alissa. I want mine to get out of the city they live in before something terrible happens up there. It's just a matter of time and that city has a long history of racial violence.

Neither of my kids have any interest in marriage or children. They seem to have that in common with a lot of their peers. There is not a very positive outlook towards the future, and so the attitude is more one of enjoy today and wait to see what tomorrow brings. Given events as they are I think that is probably wise.
