Life imitates Art. Against Impossible Odds, the Dark Lord is overthrown!

Barrack Hussein is not taking his anointed successors loss well at all.  It's wonderful that Hillary has been rolled in the dust, but we should remember this is a slap in the face to the Mincing Pimp in Chief we've suffered under for the last 8 years.  I'm not sure Donald Trump can put right even a fraction of the damage Obama has done, but now at least there's a chance to stop it from getting worse.

If you have been watching the news this morning, you've seen that there were serious disturbances across the country last night. The primary instigators are the BLM and OCCUPY, but they have lots of useful idiots in their train.  Plenty of flag desecrations, and other degenerate rites associated with these people. I think their time has passed. Obama brought BLM rabble rousers to the White House and feted them. Donald Trump will have a different way of dealing with them. I think it's our time in the sun now.

On Another Note:

Today is the Marine Corps Birthday. It's a big day for Marines, past and present. All over the world, where ever Marines are stationed, there will be Birthday Balls. Even if it's only the Marine detachment at the American Embassy in some third world dump, they'll celebrate. Everywhere there is a Marine Corps League Post, the old veterans will get together to share memories. What Cameron Day is to the Foreign Legion, the Birthday is to Marines.

The Marine Corps was founded November 10, 1775 on the British Model. At the time, the major world powers of Spain and France did not have special Marine troops. They embarked soldiers as need be, using whoever was at hand. But the British had  Sea Soldiers, their own specialized Marine troops who formed permanent components of the ship's company for the larger warships. The U.S. decided to emulate them.

Fittingly enough, the first Marines were recruited in a bar,  Tun Tavern.

The Original Marine Uniforms were Green, to distinguish them in shipboard actions with the Royal Navy, whose Marines wore red.

The Marines have always served America well. And they will continue to do so as long as America exists.

    1. ABC news tonight showed teenagers in a high school cafeteria chanting "build that wall." This is "hate in our schools" according to the brylcreem slick talking head. Then it showed college students burning Trump in effigy and rioting on campus. The talking head says "by contrast, these young adults exercised their right to protest peacefully." What planet do they find these dingle-berries on?

I'm madder at the street trash now than I was. I think if somebody got up another "bring your gun" march in Atlanta, I'd try to drive down there and participate. I never would have taken the trouble or the chance before.

  6. Tam had this post at her blog, thought you might like it:

On this day in 1775, in Tun Tavern in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the very first U.S. Marine made his mark on the dotted line, laid the pen down, turned and looked behind him at the second guy in line and said

"Things were different in the old Corps."

    1. It's a good start. I'm beginning to agree with those who say we need to be a lot more assertive in dealing with the gutter trash. Nice guys finish last. I should know that at my age.

It's a quiet little celebration here tonight, but brings back a lot of good memories.

  9. Semper Fi Harry. My wife's father is a recon marine. Once a marine always a marine.

Did you ever read about General Augusto Pinochet? I'm all in favor of what he did to the communists in Chile. Too bad it would never happen here with BLM. Whiny little weasels. How about all those celebrities who said they were gonna leave the US...suddenly a change of heart. A bunch of phony snowflakes.

I sure hope Mr. Trump can come through on what he said he would do. And I hope he keeps his word. I was so sick of being lied to these last 8 years. --Troy

    1. Troy, I know exactly what you are talking about, and I'm all for firing up those FEMA camps Clinton built all over the U.S. when Reno was Attorney General. They can still be put to the use they were intended for, it's just the shoe would be on the other foot now.

I think Donald Trump will do his best. But he has to marginalize or get rid of all the people in the Republican Party who opposed him. They are a stink in the nostrils of decent people. Now they are all sucking up to him, hoping to hang on to their power and perks. If he doesn't flush them, he won't be able to change anything. At least he has the will to try.

I have high hopes, but I am beginning to think all those people who have been telling me we need to crush BLM and their ilk once and for all to accomplish anything are right.

    2. Hey Harry,

      (captaincrunch)

You got it partially right. All them FEMA camps are for nothing but Marines in case they collectively got sick of all the bullcrap.

    1. Member, I'm sure glad to hear from you. Several people have missed you and of course I certainly have. You are a spring chicken compared to me. Wish I was 46!

Thanks for the nice thoughts. I'd have been glad to work with you back in those days or any other day. Oddly, I never really got to deploy with Canadians. I did have some good times with a Canadian flight lieutenant I met at the NATO officers school in Oberamagau, Bavaria.Great guy.

Hope you and J are well. Don't be a stranger!

  12. May the Leathernecks always be Leathernecks! (Grandson and great-Grandson of Marine officers)

Trump seems to be working hard on the transition team. He has Gun Industry and Gun Users on his 2a Panel (a Barrett and Kim Rhode!!!). He is getting a climate-denier as his head of the EPA transition team. He's pushing heavy immigration reform still, from the wall to actually allowing the Border Patrol to patrol the border effectively and he's gonna stomp on sanctuary cities.

Looks like he's gonna use that olive branch to smack heads on the other side of the aisle.

And living in Alachua County, FL (hack-spiiittttt!) I am loving all the butt-hurt emanating from the university elite and commie scum in Gainesville. Ha. Ha Ha. Ha Ha Ha! Elitist socialist pukes and scums all. (Sorry for rant, just gotta vent sometimes, ya know?) Watching the destruction of the DNC is very enjoyable.

    1. I think they will stay the same if the politicians and liberal social engineers leave them alone.

Trump is making good progress. I was glad to see Christi edged out, since he's a greasy politician typical of his part of the country.

I think things are going well. I think if the college clowns and the BLM, et al want to burn down Portland , Oregon they can just go right ahead and do it. Same for LA and Chicago, burn it to the ground, it's ok with me.

I couldn't agree with your sentiments more.
