Waiting for tomorrow.

Today is a nothing day.  Primarily I am waiting for tomorrow so I can take Ragnar to the doctor.  I dread going because I have convinced myself that this is the cancer coming back.  I sure hope I am wrong.

Took the truck in to have them look at it.  Turns out, it's not a big deal. Some "O rings" on a piece of the engine have to be replaced. I think the mechanic said it was the vacuum pump but I wasn't really paying attention. I care about how long it will take to fix and how much it will cost. In this case, it will take an hour and won't cost much.

To kill time I downloaded Brian Culbertson's album, "It's On."  There are some good songs on there but there are also some vocals I just skip over. I don't like vocals at all, just instrumentals.

We'll have to leave here early in the morning, so I plan on going to bed early tonight.  Tomorrow will tell the tale.

  1. At lest the truck won't be too much. We are running tomorrow too but no Dr for once. You know we are all here for you and the Mrs.

    1. It'll turn out to be much ado about nothing. I'm inclined to expect the worst in any given situation. It's a trait that has stood me in good stead, since I am rarely disappointed in that respect, but it does make for some unnecessary angst.

no, the truck won't cost much. The worst it's ever been was just a couple of hundred dollars for a new clutch and that was years ago. The F250 is a good truck and the late 80's early 90' model years have a good reputation for durability.

    1. This all came on quickly. The special vet that can help ferrets wasn't coming up here til late next week. The other vet who knows anything about them is way down south of here, and couldn't or wouldn't give me an appointment until Wednesday so he has been sitting there for two days in pain and getting worse. One of the issues with living out here is the utter lack of medical facilities that can handle anything but the most basic problems. For people or animals. If you have more than a hang nail, you have to go down towards Atlanta. Or, if you are brave, you can go to Hall County, which is now part of Aztlan and not the U.S.A.

    1. No, it's nothing like that. Ferrets just get sick a hell of a lot. They are fragile, and they are prone to adrenal disease and cancer. When you bring them to live with you, part of the deal is that you will have to handle this kind of thing.

    1. He is not in good shape tonight. He is not eating or drinking. I gave him some of his oil and a little water in an eye dropper, but that was all he would take. We will be at the vets tomorrow though. Thanks for the kind thoughts.

    1. CC, It's about three a.m. Ragnar got up so I gave him some more paste and got him to drink a little water out of an eye dropper. He's pretty weak. I am getting madder and madder when I think that I didn't demand an appointment on Monday when I called the vet. They told me Wednesday was the soonest they could see him and I just accepted that. Even a few years ago, I wouldn't have.

    1. Ragnar and I both appreciate that. I'm convinced that he knows people are rooting for him. Of course, I've always anthropomorized animals, but still....

check this out on border security. This interview will scare you.

The guy doing the video is a retired border patrol agent and not some nut job conspiracy theorist.

We all got lots of work to do, its coming weather we like or not.
