Has anybody heard from Kymber or J?

He should have been back a long time ago, but neither of them has done a post since 19 July. I sent an email and haven't heard back. Maybe their internet is down, or maybe they are just enjoying some private time off the net.  It is a little worrisome, though.

  4. I too have emailed them. Knowing Kymber she still has Jam tied up and wouldn't let him lose. LOL. They do lose track of days, or get so busy they forget about the outside world.

    1. PP, bro...i was busy getting a pile of food ready and cleaning the house and whatnot....you know, the usual - spreading rose leaves down the driveway with a path into the house and into the bedroom for a romantic "welcome home jamby" - bahahahahah! and then i just layed on him for 2 days and then a whirlwind happened in the community and we are run off of our feet for the past 3 weeks. i know you understand and if you want the dirty deets - send me an email.

oh and this is probably a good time to mention that other folks in our little blog circle actually spent the time to send me an email asking if we were ok....i guess you were just too tied up in ....cough...ahem...tractor girls to...ahem bother to send an email. ya uncaring nutter - bahahahahah!

  7. Given their location, its entirely possible theresm an issue with their local ISP...perhaps a downed wire, satlink, or something.
Alternatively, a medical or family emergency could have forced them to leave quickly, but Id imagine they'd have posted something about it by this.
Im inclined to lean towards an internet service outage.

    1. CZ - that's a really good guess. but now, make sure you are sitting down for this. we have incredibly, reliable internet here????? i know - it's hard to fathom. and normally - we get a phone call when our internet is going to be down??? yep - we live in a fantasy world. no, we were just busy with community stuff that we weren't expecting and i just kept thinking that "tomorrow" i could do an update post or answer emails. nope, it was nothing more than being whirlwinded by community events and stuff. thanks buddy!

  8. Harry - i am so sorry to have dropped off the radar for so long but it was very unintentional as my email will explain

  9. sorry for that but i just wanted to test your word verification thingy again. for the first 2 comments that i left to other comments here - i got a simple number that was very easy to identify. then after that - i got those crazy screwed up word thingies that no one can translate. so for the last couple of comments that i left i had to try 2-3 times before it would accept my comment. Harry, please re-adjust your comment settings as those word verification thingies are my nemisis' and i hate them!

anyway, Harry - i sent you a long and drawn-out email...think of my email as a self-published e-book....ya, that's how long it is - bahahahahah! but once you get it you will know the full details of what's been going on. i will do a blog post later but it will be the abridged version.

thank you so much for your concern Harry, you have been there from the beginning for us and your friendship, wisdom and advice has been appreciated from the start. your concern and care are icing on the cake of an already established and very trusting relationship. i am so sorry to have dropped the ball long enough to cause concern...but i hope that you will understand. we love you Harry, you and yours. and you know that.

thank you from both of us. not trying to be too mushy - yours is the epitome of a survivalists blog and all. thank you for always having our backs.

    your friend,
    kymber

    1. I was afraid your canoe tipped over and you drowned or something, to be honest. I didn't want to be melodramatic though. I am really glad you are ok. I wasn't trying to bug you, I just wondered if someone had some word and knew you two were alright.

    1. Hey, J. Wasn't trying to snoop on you folks, but it was just out of character for you two to be off the air so long, and I knew you were traveling. I have a vivid imagination and I got to thinking something might have happened, like an accident. Glad all is well.

    1. Me too. I envisioned them being eaten by a Brown Bear, or their boat turning over in the icy water. It's a relief to know it's just my overactive imagination coming to the fore again.
