Last night I signed up for Paypal. I never had a Paypal account, never needed one. But I found a photo of a ferret wearing a gas mask I really want, and it's copyrighted. So, I went to buy it. They only wanted three bucks. When I started to fill out my credit card info, I saw the site was in Russia. There are lots of legitimate businesses in Russia, but the last time I used my credit card to buy something there, I started getting people in Russia charging their monthly internet bills to my card.
The only other way to pay them was with paypal. I didn't like giving Paypal access to my bank account for "verification" purposes but I did then I changed the two passwords on the account.
I went back, ordered my picture, but I didn't get it. As far as I can tell, I can't download the picture, even though I paid for it, until the funds transfer from my account to Russia. So even though I paid for it, the picture is still sitting in "the cart" on my account at the picture company. What a pain in the derriere. If I didn't want that picture for the header on my blog I'd just forget the whole thing.
When I get back from town, I'm going to build a fire in the fireplace and take a nap on the couch.
That's my plan of the day.
