When they came for the Confederate Flag, I did nothing because I was not Southern......

When the politically correct crowd caved in to the shrill shrieks of Black Lives Matter, and started eradicating Confederate cemetaries, Confederate memorials, and especially displays of the Confederate Flag, a lot of conservatives went along with the program. It was a cheap way to show they were "sensitive" to minority demands. Or, they just didn't care.

Now the Gadsden flag is next in line. It's iconic with American conservatives. I'm waiting to see how much some of these folks like it when the symbols and culture being attacked mean something to them.

  1. Hey Harry,

    (captaincrunch)

I know about the 'Gadsden Flag' controversy. Its all a load of bullcrap.
The 'social justice warriors' are attacking American traditions symbols on all fronts in an effort to destroy America and break us down to a subservient communist socialist state like Germany, France, etc.

    that's all this is

Maybe we will get lucky and a pendulum will come crashing back to the right and much of this will go away.

Maybe we will get unlucky and the country will implode from its own 'jackassery'

Cultures change, countries evolve, devolve. Funny how if the economy upchuck's and fails and there will be no money for morlocks, illegal immigrants, or long haired, unwashed and unshaven, unemployable college graduates with degrees in under water basket weaving and Babaloynian Astrology.

Its will the the 'Grapes of Wrath' alright.

    1. People are being fired in the South now for flying the Confederate flag at their homes. A female police officer with twenty years on the police force was fired for exactly that, after a black preacher was told by a "church member" and then went to the police chief. Fired, no pension. For something that happened at her residence. Then the "preacher" went on the evening news on three networks down in Atlanta to gloat about it, and brag on himself.

I have two flags on my flag pole. One is the Confederate Flag, and one is the Gadsden flag. I am going to get a Gadsden flag bumper sticker to go on my Jeep, along with my Confederate flag and my NRA sticker.

    3. Hey Kymber,

      (captaincrunch)

Starbucks hires the unemployable college graduates (at least the ones that bathe on a regular basis)
If Starbucks as a corporation where ever to shut down. You could damn bet the ranks of the 'Black Lives Matter' and other fruitcake organizations ranks would swell like the Communist Party under Lenin in 1917.

    4. Kymber, I need you to check out my future with your astrology skills. Babylonian astrology is the best!

    5. Harry - you are very correct! the babylonians improved the understanding of chaldean and sumerian astrology.

all i will need to do an astrological chart for you for free - all i will need is 2 credit card numbers and of course your social security number. once i have those, i will get right on making you that chart...with love - bahahahahah!

  2. How can this flag be racist?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Well, Fiona, I guess the same way the Confederate flag is racist. Because some black people say so.

I think more than anything else, the left wants to discredit the flag because it's an iconic symbol of conservative resistance on an individual level.

Yeah' your right about the flag being a sign of resistance. They will attempt to make it go away along with a great many similar things that they can never get rid of like illegal drugs, pot, prostitution and everything else.
As soon as its illegal. Everyone will want a Gadsden Flag.

As far as the Gadsden flag. I'm white, as far as many people are concerned I may as well be a Grand Dragon in the KKK. But that's ok, I don't like them either.
More white people become racists by interaction with blacks than are taught to be racist at home.

    1. My kids are a stellar example of exactly that. I warned them to be careful about getting around groups of black people. I told them some black people were good people but that a lot of them, especially the inner city types , were not. My daughter thought I was a horrible old Red Neck. She had never been around any blacks at all, there were none up here. Then she went off to school in Canada for two years, and she didn't meet any to speak of in Vancouver. Mostly her friends there were Japanese and Korean.
Then she went to Jacksonville Florida and there she got an education in ethnic diversity with a vengeance. Their apartment was on the wrong side of the river. I didn't know it until I signed the lease. It was a nice apartment complex, but most of the people living there were on the dole and were lower class blacks. My kids had their car broken into the first night they were moved in. Then their next door neighbor was involved in a dope deal gone wrong, and there was a huge fight and a shoot out. The cops had to come haul them off. At night there were fights, shouts and shreiks in the parking lot. Every morning there were broken liquor bottles. Finally I broke the lease, paid the penalty, and got them out of there. Now they live up in a Northern city and they are much, much wiser. My daughter keeps a .357 snubby in the apartment. I thought by putting them in a very high rent complex, it would be safe but the morlocks come up out of the P.J.'s and rob people putting their trash in the dumpster. They started attacking young women in the building laundry, so now you have to have a laundry pass card and can only pay to do your laundry with the pass card. It also unlocks the laundry room door , which is now like a bank vault.

Some young woman went out to throw the trash away in my daughters building , and was attacked by a morlock. Some old guy came driving up, saw what was going on, and intervened. He got stabbed four times in the chest for his trouble but at least the girl got away. The cops said they will never find the goblin.

I'm working as hard as I know how to get the kids out of that city. But as there is zero, nil, no work at all here, and they don't want to be poor, it's a losing battle.

My daughter has a pump 12 gauge in the apartment, as well as the pistol. Also a magnum container of bear spray with a 30 foot range. They both have black belts in karate, but so did that young woman who got her head cut off on the Appalachian Trail near here.

They just bought an expensive German Shepard puppy from a kennel in Kentucky, and the dog is going to be trained as a guard dog.

And for all that, they still aren't safe.

I'll look up that link you sent. I will send them a little check if they want it, every little bit helps.

If you're a Grand Dragon, we have something else in common as I am the local Supreme Exalted Cyclops! ;-)

  6. Seems to me that anything that can be thought of as a symbol of resistance has become racist. The powers that be don't want the people to have anything that might spark rebellion. They want happy mindless little workers to quietly punch a timeclock, do their jobs and go home to watch Dancing with the Stars. They sure don't want anyone waving the Confederate flag or the Gadsden flag, reminding the public that there are things worth fighting for.

    1. After the shootings in Orlando, there was a Gay protest march. I don't exactly know what they were protesting, but I watched the start of it on the news. A black woman came out and said that although she was of that persuasion, she was not sure she wanted to march "because there are so many white people here." That made the whites mad and a bunch of them walked out. Seems strange to me they have all that going on and still, the blacks have to take a dig at the whites, to their own detriment.

  8. When they started coming after the Confederate flag and Amazon announced they would no longer sell them, I bought one and it flies under my Stars and Stripes on the flagpole. The Gadsden flies on another pole attached to my house. In this neck of the woods, many Gadsden flags fly. Like I have said all along, give a minority a finger and before you know it they take the whole hand. These BLM nutjobs should have been stopped and stomped into the ground in the beginning of their demands, which were all based on a lie anyway.

    1. I have been giving minorities the finger for a long time, but it hasn't helped any! ;-)

I know you have a Confederate flag flying and I appreciate it. My brother had one flying on his ranch in Northern California, but when he moved to Oregon the restrictions on the neighborhood he moved into prohibit any flags, even the American flag, and even on patriotic holidays. Oregon must be a strange place, indeed.

    2. He must be in a gated community...wouldn't be caught dead in a deal like that. He must be on the West side of the state near the I-5 corridor where all the California nutjobs moved to. That part of Oregon has been Californicated. The eastern high desert side is still America.

    3. It is. He's in a college town, you can probably guess which one because it's an hour from the beach. He lived at the beach for the first few years he was up there, but then his wife said they needed better schools for their little boy, so he bought the place back at his Alma Mater. Now they just go to the beach to get away.

I couldn't live in a place where there was some kind of home owners association or anything else that told me what I could and couldn't do. I would do murder and have to do an Eric Rudolph.

I'm not a southerner, but I also feel that I have the right as an American to display what I want on my property at any time. I challenge anyone to trespass and tell me differently.

At least nobody can fire me, I have no job and no boss. Being retired has some advantages.

    1. Well, most of the people who go around being offended by this and that have a lot of time on their hands. They live in government housing, get welfare,so they don't work. Other than a little car hijacking, breaking and entry, and dope dealing just to keep their hands in.

    1. I saw that in one of your pictures, and appreciated it. It's a hard time to be Southern in the United States right now. The government is dominated by white liberals who pander to the minorities, so just being white is bad enough. But to be white and be from the South, in their view, is absolutely unforgivable. If Trump wins, I will put my American flag back up on the flag pole. But while Obama is running this place, and if Hillary takes over, it will stay neatly folded in my cedar chest, waiting for better days.

  15. People are very picky. You can't called some blacks, "African American's" because they never came from Africa directly. They don't want to be called, "Black" because that's labeling, and separating them out with color. It's difficult.

Here people from Africa do not like to be associated with blacks that have been here for awhile. The folks from Africa are studious, work hard for their money, and they are even laborious with their meals. Many blacks that have been here for a long time have their own lingo, and education isn't the highest thing on their list. I'm not saying all of them. I'm saying many though.

    1. Alissa, that's well and truly said. My daughter works for a company up North. She said that some of her coworkers are Africans, and that they don't like "African Americans" at all because so many of them are vulgar and lazy.

My wife was a missionaries daughter and grew up in Nigeria and Niger, until she was old enough to come back to America to go to Southern Mississippi for her degree. M says that the kind of black people you see prancing around out in the street and throwing things at the police would last about 24 hours in Africa, and then they would be dead.
